Dr. Sharynne is a native San Diegan. As a second-generation dentist, her aspirations to pursue a career related to healthcare and service stem from her dentist mother and Navy veteran father. After earning her degree in Biological Sciences at UC Santa Barbara, she graduated from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. She later completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the UCLA Venice Dental Center, enhancing her scope of practice by collaborating with endodontists, periodontists, oral surgeons, and prosthodontists to complete complex dental procedures. Committed to providing the best possible care for her patients, she strives to stay at the forefront of dental technology and cutting-edge dental techniques. In recent years, she has expanded her clinical skills through continuing education courses in clear aligner therapy (Invisalign), dental implant surgery, and sleep dentistry. Dr. Sharynne takes a gentle approach to providing comprehensive dental care, allowing her patients to feel right at home in the dental chair! By striving to build a partnership with each patient built on mutual trust, respect, and open communication, she spends time getting to know each patient as an individual – learning about their overall health, lifestyle habits, and oral health goals. She deeply values patient education, advocating how oral health plays a vital role to overall body health and wellness. Her ultimate goal is to empower and collaborate with her patients in creating personalized treatment plans to help them achieve the best treatment outcomes and smile with confidence.

Outside the office: In her free time she enjoys adventuring with her loved ones, attending hot yoga and spin classes, snowboarding, enjoying live music events, cooking and baking, tending to her many house plants, and playing with her cat Lulu!

Dr. Christine Buenaventura, affectionately known as Dr. B by her patients, is a distinguished dentist with a passion for blending the science and artistry of dentistry with exceptional patient care. Originally from the Philippines, Dr. B began her journey in dentistry there and continued her advanced studies at Loma Linda University in 2006, ensuring her expertise meets the high standards of dental practice in the United States. Since 2008, Dr. Buenaventura has been dedicated to delivering quality dental care, focusing on innovative techniques and the latest technology to enhance patient outcomes. Her commitment to lifelong learning ensures that she stays at the forefront of dental advancements, offering her patients treatments that are both state-of-the-art and compassionate. Dr. B’s unique approach stems from her belief in building meaningful connections with her patients. Her genuine care and immense patience make her an advocate for each individual’s oral health, helping them feel confident and cared for. Whether it’s alleviating pain, restoring functionality, or enhancing the aesthetics of a smile, Dr. Buenaventura takes great pride in her ability to transform her patients’ lives through her work. Outside the office: Dr. Buenaventura leads an active lifestyle, participating in a variety of sports such as badminton, snowboarding, swimming, and hiking. These activities not only keep her fit but also reflect her vibrant personality and dedication to balance and well-being.

Dr. Kim grew up in Portland, Oregon, and ventured to the East Coast to earn her bachelor’s degree from University of Rochester. After experiencing the harsh winters of upstate New York, she quickly found herself drawn back to the Pacific Northwest, where she pursued her dental education at Oregon Health & Science University. She further advanced her training in the Bay Area through an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency with the joint UCSF/NYU program, where she worked closely one-on-one with specialists across all disciplines of dentistry to develop expertise in treating complex and comprehensive cases. Dr. Kim is passionate about continuing education and consistently takes advanced courses to ensure she provides the highest quality care for her patients. Dedicated to creating a positive dental experience, Dr. Kim is committed to making every patient feel comfortable and well cared for. She believes in educating patients and developing personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual’s needs and goals.

Outside the office: Dr. Kim loves to dance and previously performed on competitive dance teams as well as for a WHL hockey team. She also enjoys other sports, beach days, and exploring new restaurants and bakeries. As a newcomer to San Diego, Dr. Kim is excited to discover everything the city has to offer while building lasting relationships with her patients and community!
